Focus:
The laboratory is focused on the development of nanofibers prepared by needle-less electrospinning technology used for various applications. This method is useful for production of variety of polymer, ceramic and carbon nano/microfibers (such as Al2O3, ZrO2, SnO2, TiO2, BaTiO3, …) with diameter ranging from 50 nm to 500 nm. The electrospun nano/microfibers have a strong potential for application in areas related to energy generation and storage, environmental and biomedical applications: material for low-cost solar cells, lithium batteries; micro-devices for the production of electricity from waste mechanical energy; filters for the automotive industry; sound insulation; composite fillers, drug delivery systems, scaffolds for tissue engineering, and many others.
